A deposit of ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 starts the search and is credited to the fee. The rest is due on the joining date. Candidates never pay anything.

Terms
The terms, in plain words
These match the placement agreement you sign.
- When the fee is due
- On the candidate's joining date, payable within 15 days. GST at 18% is added for Indian companies. Companies outside India are invoiced in USD with no GST.
- Deposit
- ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 for new clients, paid when you send the role and credited in full against the fee.
- Deposit refund
- Refunded in full if we don't share a shortlist within 10 working days. Once a shortlist is shared it isn't refunded, but if you fill the role through your own source it moves to another role within 6 months.
- Replacement
- One free replacement if your hire resigns or is let go for performance or conduct within 90 days of joining. It doesn't cover layoffs, a change of role, salary disputes, or a fee paid late.
- Introductions
- If you hire someone we introduced within 12 months of the introduction, for this role or any other, the fee applies.
- Shortlist Pack
- ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 up front for 5 tested profiles in 5 working days, plus 5% of CTC if you hire one of them. Profiles that don't match the brief are replaced first, and refunded only if we can't replace them.
- Background checks
- Available as an add-on for any hire. Quoted per check.
Employment
If we also employ the person
Boring Commerce LLP is the legal employer and runs payroll and compliance. The CTC is billed at cost; these are our fees on top.
- EOR, companies outside India
- $149 a person a month, $129 for every seat from 21 people. One USD invoice, no GST.
- EOR, Indian companies
- 8% of monthly CTC, at least ₹4,000 a person. GST on the invoice, claimable as input credit.
- Contract staffing
- Monthly CTC plus 12%. We find and employ the person, with no hire fee. Free transfer to your payroll after 12 months.
Never charged
Candidates pay nothing.
No fee to apply, to be tested, or to be placed, and nothing taken from a salary. Our only income from a hire is the employer's fee. No setup fee and no job posting fee for employers either.

Pricing questions
When do we pay?
A deposit of ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 when you send the role, credited in full to the fee. The rest of the fee is due on the day your hire joins, payable within 15 days. Nothing else.
What if we don't get a shortlist?
If we don't share a shortlist within 10 working days, the deposit is refunded in full. After a shortlist is shared, the deposit isn't refunded, but if you fill the role through your own source it moves to another role within 6 months.
What does the replacement cover?
One free replacement if your hire resigns or is let go for performance or conduct within 90 days of joining. It doesn't cover layoffs, a change of role, salary disputes, or a fee paid late.
How is CTC counted?
Fixed annual pay in the offer letter, plus any guaranteed bonus. Variable pay that isn't guaranteed, ESOPs and reimbursements are left out.
We are outside India. Can you invoice us in dollars?
Yes. Companies outside India are invoiced in USD with no GST. US companies that need a US vendor are invoiced by Boring Commerce LLC.
You run ads for brands. Will you place people with our competitors?
Operators is a separate team. Data from our agency work is never used for hiring, hiring data is never shared with the agency team, and we never approach a client's current staff.
Do you only hire for e-commerce?
Six families: performance marketing, creative, AI and automation (AI video, AI creative and workflow automation), e-commerce and quick commerce, growth and retention, and creators and social. Other roles at an e-commerce brand, such as a founder's office hire, we take on request.
