A service agreement (with our US company if you are outside India) and a refundable deposit of 1 month's employment cost.

Offer letter and onboarding within 5 working days of the signed agreement.

One invoice, salary paid on time, PF, ESIC, PT and TDS filed. Payslips go to your person.

The terms, in plain words
These match the employer of record agreement you sign.

- Boring Commerce LLP, registered in India, is the legal employer. The person works under your direction.
- Contract
- Companies outside India sign with Boring Commerce LLC, our US company. Indian companies sign with Boring Commerce LLP.
- Fee
- Outside India: $149 a person a month, $129 for every seat from 21 people. Indian companies: 8% of monthly CTC, at least ₹4,000. Contract staffing: monthly CTC plus 12%.
- Invoice
- Monthly, before payroll runs. Companies outside India pay in USD at the RBI reference rate on the invoice date. Indian companies pay in INR with GST.
- Deposit
- 1 month's employment cost per person, refundable when the contract ends and the last invoice is paid.
- Ending
- 30 days' written notice, plus the person's notice period. No exit fee.
- Transfer
- Free on EOR. On contract staffing, free after 12 months and 8.33% of annual CTC before.

Who is the legal employer?
Boring Commerce LLP, registered in India. The person signs an employment contract with us and works for you day to day: your tools, your team, your hours.
Who do we sign with?
Companies outside India sign with and pay Boring Commerce LLC, our US company, in US dollars, by card or bank transfer. Boring Commerce LLP in India employs the person. You never have to pay an Indian vendor directly. Indian companies sign with the LLP.
Which roles can you employ?
Any role a person can do from India: engineers, designers, analysts, support, finance, marketing, operations. You choose the person and the city. We can't employ someone who works outside India.
What goes on the invoice?
The person's monthly CTC at cost, plus our fee. Companies outside India get one USD invoice each month, with rupee costs converted at the RBI reference rate on the invoice date and no GST. Indian companies get a GST invoice.
Why is there GST on the salary for Indian companies?
Supplying staff is a taxable service in India, so GST at 18% applies to the whole invoice. A GST-registered company claims it back as input credit, so for most brands the real cost is the CTC plus our fee.
Is CTC the same as salary?
CTC is the Indian total cost of employment: fixed pay, any guaranteed bonus, and the employer's PF and gratuity. Their in-hand pay is lower. We bill the CTC at cost and keep nothing from it.
Can you also find the person?
Yes, for any role. We recruit on the usual fee (12% of CTC for junior and mid roles) and then employ them. For e-commerce and marketing roles every candidate also takes our practical test. Or choose contract staffing: we find and employ them for a monthly markup with no hire fee.
Can we take the person onto our own payroll later?
Yes, once you have an Indian company. On EOR there is no transfer fee. On contract staffing the transfer is free after 12 months, and 8.33% of annual CTC before that.
How do we end it?
With 30 days' written notice, plus the person's notice under their contract. No exit fee. We handle the full and final settlement and return the deposit after the last invoice is paid.
